Cotton swabs push more in than they take out
A swab is wider than your ear canal, so most of what it touches gets pressed further in — and you can't see any of it happening. A camera doesn't make you better at cleaning. It makes you able to see, which is the part you've never had.

Ears are delicate. A camera helps you see — it doesn't make the canal any tougher. Stay near the opening and only work on what's clearly visible on screen. Never push toward anything you can't see, and stop immediately if you feel pain.
Don't use it if you have ear pain, drainage, bleeding, hearing loss, a known perforated eardrum, ear tubes, or a recent ear surgery or infection. See a doctor instead — impacted wax is removed safely in a few minutes in a clinic.

Does it work with my phone?
It works with iOS 9.0 and above and Android 4.4 and above. The camera creates its own Wi-Fi signal that your phone connects to through the app — it doesn't use your home internet.
Can I use it on my kids?
Many parents do, and being able to see is the reason. Go slowly, stay near the opening, and stop if they're uncomfortable. For a young child, or anything that looks impacted, see a pediatrician.
Is it safe?
It's safer than working blind, which is what a cotton swab is. It isn't a licence to go deeper. Read the safety notes above — they're short and they matter.
